Steel
In addition to performing ongoing stock and quality controls, all steel is sourced from suppliers with internally recognized and accredited quality control procedures to ensure that the steel always reaches the highest level of consistency.
Structural Steel
Steel used with the category of structural steel is all galvanized, this being achieved by either foundry hot dipping or electroplating.
Flat Sheet and Flat Sheet derived components
All components in this category, whether manufactured or processed by ourselves or by accredited suppliers are fully galvanized, normally carrying material performance warranties, separate and in addition to those offered on the overall finished product.
Processed Components
As designated by ourselves- are components that have had additional joining actions performed. Where welding is performed the finished product will then be galvanized, whether via batch galvanizing or electro-galvanizing – to ensure performance consistent with the structural steel.
We do not use rivets for joining, these we class as destructive joining, given that the zinc layer is compromised – we use not destructive joining as employed in the automobile industry.
Machined Components
Where component s are machines, e.g. CNC - the finished product will then be galvanized, whether via batch galvanizing or electro-galvanizing – to ensure performance consistent with the structural steel.
Exterior Steel
The steel used for roofing and façade is pre-galavanized color coated sheet, then rolled with chromium dipped tooling to ensure the standard of the finished product.
